We're called dotall. The logo is two characters computers already understand. We just glued them together on purpose.
. — the extension, the hidden folder
A dot is how files tell you what they are: report.docx, budget.xlsx, scan.pdf. Same symbol marks the invisible machinery on a project tree: .git/, .env, and soon .all/.
That folder is the second half of the joke. Humans almost never open it. Agents live there — cache, versions, the boring scraps that make re-reading and undoing cheap.
So when we light the leading . in .all, we mean both things: which file and where the system memory lives.

The asterisk is the wildcard. Not "pick one." All that match. That's the product ambition in one glyph: not a single shiny importer, not a ChatGPT skin for Excel — every extension humans already have, handled through one agent surface.
Office is where we start because that's where money and mistakes pile up. Audio, video, and the weirder stuff (including formats doctors shove EEGs into) are in the long game. The name doesn't shrink because shipping is phased.
Fused on purpose
The mark is our logo: the wildcard, with a dot sitting in the middle. Core infrastructure (the directory / the extension) shares a center with reach (everything that matches).
We didn't buy abstract geometry off a brand pack. We took the two characters that already mean hidden system and everything that matches and made them one shape. You'll see that version on the site — not whatever asterisk glyph happens to live in a body font.
What we are not
People still assume "AI + files" means another chat box with a paperclip. Or a plugin that works until you leave the app. Or a parser that supports four extensions and then emails you a roadmap PDF.
We're building more than an edit button: the layer for search, cache, memory, patch, and revert — human files in, token-friendly reads out, originals where humans left them. The logo is allowed to sound a bit smug about that.
